The Wilf Campus for Senior Living, and the American Heart Association, invite you to join us in wearing RED on February 5th for National Wear Red Day.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, according to Nation Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. Cardiovascular disease also claims the lives of 1 in 3 women—every 80 seconds. Each year, on the first Friday of February, thousands join the American Heart Association in wearing red to bring awareness to these issues.
With weekly reports of COVID-19 deaths still rising over the past few weeks, heart disease still remains the #1 killer in the nation. In fact, 64% of women who die suddenly of coronary heart disease had no previous symptoms. Surprising facts like these are is why Wilf Campus staff and residents will be wearing red to spread awareness as they visit patients, families, and facilities throughout the New Jersey.
