Vaccination for COVID-19 is under way at Wilentz Senior Residence. Participating residents and staff have received two doses of the Pfizer-BioNtech COVID-19 vaccine, administered by Walgreens Pharmacy. A third vaccine clinic will be also held on March 17th. This is a great step forward in an effort to eliminate spread throughout the community, and create a safer environment for its residents.
The community continues to return to a sense of normalcy with strategic additions to their activities calendar. Programs currently being held include shopping trips, arts and crafts classes, yoga and meditation sessions, visits from hearing aid specialists and podiatrists, and discussions with Wilf Campus Director of Religious and Spiritual Services Rabbi Bryan Kinzbrunner. Pre-screening for COVID-19 symptoms is completed before each program, with social distancing and mask wearing required. Weekly testing for COVID-19 will also continue.
In additional March news, Wilentz Senior Residence has welcomed their new Social Service Coordinator on board. Mary Jo Masucci, MSW, LSW, joins the Wilf Campus with 30 years of experience in the field of social work. The community looks forward to the impact she will have on the quality of life of its residents.
