This year, as we prepare to celebrate Labor Day on Monday, September 7, I would like to especially recognize the hardworking, caring, compassionate and dedicated staff that make up all of our agencies at The Wilf Campus for Senior Living – Stein Assisted Living, Wilf At Home, Wilentz Senior Residence, Stein Hospice and Wilf Transport. Our nurses, aides, recreation, dining, maintenance and housekeeping staff, drivers and our entire staff, are not only caretakers, they are advocates for the seniors in our community – the most vulnerable in the face of this pandemic. Our staff are dedicated to our residents and patients and have put themselves and their own families in the path of the virus to care for our beloved seniors.
From caring for the health and nutrition of our residents and patients, to making sure that our community is clean and safe, to finding new and innovative ways to keep our residents happy and engaged, to safely transporting seniors to doctor’s appointments, our staff have demonstrated their commitment repeatedly. During the height of the pandemic they showed their continued dedication to our residents. Many picking up extra shifts and adjusting quickly to the changing protocols and regulations associated with the virus, always putting the needs of our seniors at the forefront.
I want to thank our entire staff for the sacrifices they make each and every day and especially during these unprecedented times. They are truly superheroes who play a critical role in the lives of our seniors and in the strength of our organization.
Happy Labor Day to all front line workers!
