Observe National Hospice and Palliative Care Month During Virtual Events with Stein Hospice

two hands holding each other. Celebrating National Hospice and Palliative Care Month 2020

November is National Hospice and Palliative Care Month and Stein Hospice is observing the month with a lineup of insightful virtual events.

Each year, nearly 1.5 million people in the United States, with a life-limiting illness, are cared for through a hospice service. With a focus on comfort, dignity and respect, hospice care professionals are able to provide support to patients and their families during some of the most difficult times in their lives.

Hospice and palliative care are the same in that they provide compassionate care to terminally ill patients. However, palliative care, which is a part of hospice care, can be used in other situations to relieve symptoms while a patient is receiving active treatment.

For the past 15 years, Stein Hospice has offered the highest levels of care for its patients. Treating each patient as a whole being, our team of professionals looks to address the physical, spiritual and other surrounding needs of a person. Since one approach may not fit all, Stein Hospice’s team makes sure to work with the preferences of each patient and their family.
