Dear Residents, Clients, Family Members and Friends of the Wilf Campus,
This month an occurrence that comes up roughly every 30 years will take place – the celebration, at the same time, of three important holidays for three religions – Easter, Passover and Ramadan. Easter is celebrated this year on Sunday, April 17, Passover starts on Friday, April 15, and Ramadan is celebrated from April 2-May 2.
The fact that three major religions – Christianity, Judaism and Islam – will be commemorating holy days at the same time is an opportunity to reflect on our shared values. Furthermore, their occurrence in the spring season adds a sense of renewal and new beginning. If the past two years and COVID have taught us anything it is that this virus does not discriminate, and we have seen people of all faiths and religions coming together to help each other and their communities get through these most difficult and unprecedented times.
As we celebrate Easter, Passover and Ramadan, I hope we all remember our interconnectedness and our common desire to create communities where people care for each other and treat each other with respect and dignity. At the Wilf Campus for Senior Living that means continued and unwavering dedication to serve and protect the seniors in our care, ensuring that they are able to live life to the fullest.
Whether you celebrate Easter, Passover or Ramadan, I wish you a happy, peaceful and meaningful holiday spent with family and friends. May this season bring us all understanding, cooperation and hope.
