As we usher in the new year 5776, it my pleasure to send greetings to the community on behalf of Wilf Campus and talk about all of the new and exciting ventures that have occurred since the last new year.
I am thrilled that Wilf at Home, our newest agency, launched this past spring.
Wilf at Home helps mature adults retain the ability to remain in their homes where they can age safely and independently through a suite of discounted services that include in-home personal care services, home repair and modification, paperwork and bill management, personal emergency response systems, prescription drug delivery, online grocery delivery, access to transportation and much more.
Program members can utilize as much or as little of our services as they need at any time. The fees for these services that we have negotiated are deeply discounted and not available to the public outside of our program. Wilf at Home is meant to help offer staying at home as an affordable and available option for older adults and their families. I am thrilled to say that we have accomplished that goal!
A key component of Wilf at Home is access to list of pre-vetted services at specially discounted rates such as plumbers, carpenters and electricians. We take the worry out of bringing a service into your home through a stringent review process. Wilf at Home is a perfect choice for adult children living out of the area or who can’t be with their parents or loved ones as often as they would like. It is also a perfect choice for the senior who simply wants to remain independent.
Our program service area covers Middlesex, Somerset and Union Counties (including the Monroe Township area). We also feature a special program of short-term services available for those who are coming home from Sub-Acute Rehab or hospital stays and may need some assistance in the home for a little while. We make it easy for everyone, just one phone call and we will take care of everything that is needed. Look for upcoming Webinars on our website in the fall that will help adult children talk to their parents about membership in Wilf at Home.
With a special thank you to The Federation in the Heart of New Jersey, we are the recipients of a generous transportation grant for Wilf Transport, our non-emergency transport organization. In conjunction with our partners at a number of Middlesex County synagogues, Jewish Family Services of Greater Middlesex (JFS), and other sites throughout the county we are providing trips to services and other activities at the synagogues and in Monroe Township through JFS. The program is running successfully and our older adult participants are so thankful to have the transportation that they need!
Any resident or visitor to our campus who enjoys a meal with us, experiences our 5-star restaurant dining. We have just rounded out our chef-management team to include a third chef who hails from the Frog & The Peach in New Brunswick. In addition to all of his cooking skills, he is also a pastry chef. Residents and families will be enjoying his wonderful baking skills for the high holidays and beyond. I invite you to our campus to enjoy an incredible meal with me and learn about all that we have to offer. I promise that it will be worth your time. Just give us a call to make arrangements!
