In partnership with CVS Pharmacy, participating residents and staff members of Stein Assisted Living have received their first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine during the community’s first vaccine clinic on January 25th, 2020. Originally scheduled for early February, the community was able to arrange for the clinic to take place before the month of January ends — signaling a positive start to the new year. Residents and staff, excited for the event, were successfully treated with no apparent difficulties. Each recipient was monitored after administration of the vaccine to observe for possible allergic reaction.
Additional information regarding the administration of a second dose, and a second vaccine clinic, will be released in the near future. The Wilf Campus for Senior Living and Stein Assisted Living are thankful to those staff and family members who have worked together to prepare for this occasion.
