On Thursday, April 28th we held our annual Yom Hashoah, Holocaust Remembrance Commemoration at Stein Assisted Living. We were fortunate to have Elana Wilf Tanzman join us. Elana is the great-grand daughter of Oscar and Ella Wilf, Holocaust survivors for whom our campus is named. Elana shared with us the story of her great-grandparents and her grandparents surviving the Holocaust and coming to America to build a new life. The program also included songs, prayers and discussion with Rabbi Fagan, followed by a candle lighting ceremony by our residents who are Holocaust survivors.
