So many of us are saddened not to be spending the holidays with our extended families this year. COVID has robbed us of the joyful noise of a room full of loved ones, laughing and sharing stories of news and holidays past. For those of us with loved ones in skilled nursing facilities, or in isolation at home, this time of year is even more melancholy.
Stein Hospice is looking out for our patients and families, by providing consistent team support throughout the holidays. Whether the patient lives in a private home or a facility, our nurses and aides are available to promote continuing comfort under the guidance of our medical director.
When at the bedside, our nurses can help families communicate via phone, video and Facetime for that extra touch during the holiday time. We can help patients and families look forward to making connections, knowing that Stein Hospice staff has them in mind, 24/7, 356 days a year.
