From Telling Bedtime Stories to Authoring the “Fox and Camel” Children’s Books – Michael A. Kaufman Opens the Wilf Campus Author Lecture Series

flyer for author lecture eventThe Foundation of the Wilf Campus for Senior Living presents an Author Lecture Series, featuring a variety of authors who will be sharing the motivations behind their creations, and delving into a selected body of work. Kicking off the virtual series on December 1st at 6:00pm will be Michael A. Kaufman, author of the Fox and Camel children’s book series.

A retired corporate lawyer who spent much of his career with Johnson & Johnson, Kaufman has published a total of seven books in the Fox and Camel series, as well as a new Fox and Camel coloring book. Inspiration for the books came from stories that the author often told to his youngest daughter, Andrea, to keep her entertained during trips. She suggested that he write these stories down, and after retirement, he did! The tales, loosely based on events that occurred in his and his family members’ lives, center around the adventures of two friends, Fox and Camel.

During the online event, the author will share details on topics including his writing process, motivation, and reception of the series by children and adults alike. Signed copies of all seven books are available for purchase on the Wilf Campus website at www.wilfcampus.org/author-lecture-series/. To learn more about the author and series before the event, be sure to visit www.foxncamel.com.
