Wilf Campus Alzheimer’s Month Initiatives
September marks the Alzheimer’s Association’s nation-wide Walk To End Alzheimer’s
We have many exciting things planned as part of the country’s biggest effort to raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer’s. This is a cause very near and dear to us, and our community always rallies together during this time. We hope you’ll join us!
Walk
Our annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s will take place on Sept. 18th at 10:30 am – meet at the entrance to Stein Assisted Living (350 DeMott Ln.). Family members and local community members are invited to join our residents, staff and caregivers in a symbolic walk around the Campus perimeter. Followed by food, festivities and fundraising, all benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association.
Donate
The Wilf Campus Walkers are fundraising for the Alzheimer’s Association. They will not only walk in our Campus event but also in the local NJ chapter walk this month. Our goal is to raise $1,500 – and we’re almost halfway there! With your generous pledge we can reach our goal and further the Alzheimer’s Associations important work. If you would like to make a donation to Wilf Campus in honor of Alzheimer’s Awareness, that is also appreciated. Wilf Campus is a leader in senior memory care. Our Jaffa Gate Memory Care Neighborhood offers specialized care and support for seniors with memory impairment, Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. We are dedicated to meeting their unique needs. Make a donation to Wilf Campus’ Alzheimer’s programs.
Plant
We are selling poppies provided by the Alzheimer’s Association. Poppies are the recognized symbol of the Alzheimer’s cause. Write the names of loved ones affected by Alzheimer’s on the petals and plant them in your lawn as a show of support. Poppies are $5 and can be purchased in our Main Lobby (all proceeds benefit the Alzheimer’s Association)
