Stein Assisted Living has purchased new state-of-the-art hearing devices that are changing the way residents are listening to and enjoying day-to-day activities. The wireless headphone system, made by the company Eversound, is designed for senior living to improve engagement during group events.

The Eversound hearing devices have already had a positive effect on Stein residents. “They are fantastic!” says Bobby Rosenstrauss, who has found the new hearing devices to be easy to use and great at filtering out external noise. “Now when I’m at a group activity, I no longer have to rely on someone looking right at me when they speak. I love them!” For Evelyn Schoenholtz, a pianist and classical music lover, she can close her eyes and the headphones connect her to the world of Chopin or a favorite sing-a-long tune. “The music brings me so much joy and helps bring back wonderful memories,” she says.

The wireless headphones include easy-to-use personal controls that allow residents to set the volume that works best for them and can be used with or without hearing aids. The hearing devices help to bridge the gap for residents who want to engage in group activities but find it difficult because they struggle with hearing loss. There is a lot of enthusiasm about this new technology as the wireless headphones have already made an impact and are adding to the quality of life at Stein Assisted Living.
